Display manufacturer appoints key executives

Three new management executives have been appointed at Trans-Lux, which designs and manufactures digital displays, light-emitting diode (LED) screen systems, flat-panel liquid crystal displays (LCDs), data walls and scoreboards.

Craig Katt (pictured, left)—who was most recently vice-president (VP) of D3LED’s sports and entertainment division, marketing scoreboards—joins Trans-Lux as senior VP (SVP) of display technologies, with responsibility for LED and flat-panel systems. He also has experience with Barco, Daktronics and other LED manufacturers.

Sami Sassoun (pictured, right) joins as chief financial officer (CFO). A certified public accountant, he previously worked in investment banking, equity financing, regulatory management and cash-flow optimization.

Finally, Brian Laroche (not pictured) has been appointed president of Trans-Lux’s LED lighting division, TL Energy. He has held executive positions with both LG’s LED lighting group and Philips Lighting.
