Data Document Solutions in Mississauga, Ont., has installed a new Anapurna M2 wide-format printer from Agfa Graphics.
The company has specialized in digital printing and direct mail since 2001, offering such services as variable data printing (VDP), envelope inserting and stuffing, inkjet addressing, folding, card attaching, bindery and polybagging.
The Anapurna ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) inkjet printer will allow Data Document Solutions to also produce indoor and outdoor sign and display graphics on a range of rigid and roll-to-roll media up to 45 mm (1.8 in.) thick. The industrial inkjet press can reportedly print posters in six-colour mode at up to 23 m2 (248 sf) per hour, using four-pass printing. For signs and more solid materials—such as corrugated board, rigid plastics, exhibition panels, stage graphics and advertising panels—eight-pass printing is recommended instead.
