DOOH agreement launched for Edmonton’s Ice District

Oilers Entertainment Group has named Pattison Outdoor the exclusive digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising sales agent for Edmonton’s new Ice District, with content set to premiere this month.

The Ice District combines Rogers Place, the new home to the National Hockey League’s (NHL’s) Edmonton Oilers, with shops, restaurants and cinemas to comprise Canada’s largest mixed-use sports and entertainment development, which more than two million people are expected to visit throughout 2017. The initial phase of its DOOH deployment includes two video billboards and 13 street-level digital signs.

“The Ice District adds a whole new level of vibrancy to Edmonton,” says Brian de Ruiter, Pattison Outdoor’s vice-president (VP) and general manager (GM). “It offers an unprecedented opportunity for advertisers to reach new, diverse audiences.”
