Earlier this month at Heimtextil, an international textile trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany, Durst Phototechnik introduced three new digital textile printers: Kappa 180 V2, Kappa 320 and Rhotex 180TR.
The Kappa direct-to-textile inkjet printers are designed for industrial-scale textile production. Kappa 180 V2 offers a maximum print width of nearly 2 m (6.4 ft), while Kappa 320 can print up to 3.3 m (10.8 ft) wide. Both are equipped with Corino fabric feed-in systems and a thermally insulated dryer.
The Rhotex 180TR is an industrial dye sublimation printer for polyester or polyester-blend textile graphics, including soft signage. As a transfer-based printer, it offers a less complex pre- and post-treatment process than direct printers. It can print up to 1.9 m (6 ft) wide, with a maximum resolution of 1,200 dots per inch (dpi).
All three printers are available in Canada through Durst Image Technology U.S.
