Eclipse Colour and Imaging in Burlington, Ont., has installed the first HP Scitex FB7600 industrial press in Canada.

The large-format printing company operates a 6,503-m2 (70,000-sf) sales and production facility, specializing in retail displays, signage, out-of-home (OOH) advertising, transit posters and packaging. The installation of the FB7600 has increased capacity, reduced turnaround time and lowered production costs per printed sheet.

“This investment will allow us to offer our customers new, cost-effective products without compromising print quality,” says Ralph Misale, co-owner of Eclipse. “We are always looking to tap new markets and revenue streams.”

The high-volume press can print on rigid or flexible substrates up to 25 mm (1 in.) thick with Greenguard-certified inks. It can print gloss and spot gloss effects, eliminating the need to laminate point-of-purchase (POP) graphics.
