Emily Butko Wallis and Mark Wallis of Signature Sign & Image won the 2nd annual Young Professionals Network’s (YPN’s) Gingerbread Sign Competition.

The Sign Association of Canada (SAC-ACE) recently announced the winners of the annual Young Professionals Network’s (YPN’s) Gingerbread Sign Competition.

Emily Butko Wallis and Mark Wallis of Signature Sign & Image won the competition and have been awarded a $100 prize.

The competition challenged sign professionals to use gingerbread as their signmaking medium. Emily and Mark’s entry was an imaginative take on a sign for Crystal Beach in Niagara, Ont., where they reside.

Entrants were judged on overall creativity, technical details, original idea/theme, edibility, and photo quality.

“We wish a hearty congratulations to Emily and Mark for winning this year’s competition,” said YPN president Taylor Blanchett-O’Donnell. “Award-winning signamaking is nothing new to Signature Sign & Image, who have won numerous Best of Canada’s Sign Industry Awards (BOCSIes) for their fantastic work.”
