[1]Colin Reid, an Edmonton-based Signarama franchisee, has announced the recipients for his fifth annual Signs of Support grant program, which provides discounted or ‘in kind’ signage to local non-profit organizations.
“Signage is often the last thing non-profits figure into their budgets, but it can be one of the most important parts of their marketing puzzle,” says Reid (pictured). “We are happy to help out in this way.”
Edmonton Signarama will provide $10,000 worth of free or discounted signage to 10 organizations this year:
- Al Shamal Shrine, which funds hospitals for children (golf tournament signage).
- Buchanan Centre for Parkinson’s (site identity signage).
- Canadian Paraplegic Association (golf tournament signage).
- Christmas Bureau of Edmonton, which provides meals to families in need (campaign signage).
- Dream Big, a conference to inspire teenage girls (trade show graphics).
- The Family Centre, which offers therapy, counselling, workshops and interpretation services (building identity signage).
- Haida Gwaii Totem tour, which raises funds for Stollery Children’s Hospital (vehicle/trailer graphics).
- Kids Kottage, a 24-hour crisis nursery (signage for gala dinner, dance and auction).
- Mark Mercier Foundation, which suppors movement disorder research (golf tournament signage).
- ‘Nstep, which seeks to prevent childhood obesity (identity signage).
