edmontontransit[1]Out-of-home (OOH) advertising firm Clear Channel Outdoor Canada (CCOC) is opening a new office in Edmonton this fall to support a new 10-year bus shelter ad contract that will come into effect on January 1, 2016.

Expanding upon CCOC’s experience selling ads on street furniture in Ottawa, the contract with Edmonton Transit will help the company reach both the 76.1 per cent of commuters who drive to work and the 16.4 per cent who take public transit. Bus shelters offer relatively high impact and frequency at multiple ‘touch points’ in commuters’ daily lives.

Further, OOH advertisers are keen to reach a population that has grown by 14 per cent over the past five years. Edmonton represents the sixth largest market in Canada.
