HP Canada has introduced two new Designjet printers for producing indoor and outdoor signage using durable aqueous ‘latex’ inks.
The 1.5-m (61-in.) wide L26500 (pictured, left) is designed for users entering the growing market for fabric-based soft signage, though it can also produce point-of-purchase (POP) displays, bus shelter posters, vehicle graphics and other applications using vinyl, paper, films and uncoated media.
The 2.6-m (104-in.) wide L28500 (pictured, right) delivers production speed up to 70 per cent faster than its predecessor, the L25500. Also, an intuitive touch screen makes it easier to control printer settings and tasks.
Both models offer double-sided printing capabilities, suitable for blockout banners. An optical media advance sensor (OMAS) automatically controls registration, requiring minimal operator intervention.
