Toronto-based Entro developed a large-scale environmental graphic design (EGD) and wayfinding signage program for CampusOne, a new 890-bed student residence near the main University of Toronto (U of T) campus.

Diamond Schmitt Architects designed the 25-storey building, which features protruding and receding surfaces. Entro mimicked this motif with orange, yellow and blue geographic forms as EGD elements and chose ITC Johnson, a sans-serif typeface, for its merging of tradition with clean modernity.

Brick, wood and concrete interior finishes are complemented by a whimsical approach to floor identification, with numbers that appear to descend from the ceiling.
