[1]E&T Plastics, which manufactures and distributes substrates for the sign and display industry in Canada and the U.S., is using a Saber XT paper cutter from Colter & Peterson to process large plastic sheets.

The 3.5-m (137-in.) wide cutter with Microcut electronics features a double-bevel blade that allows to operators to trim 3-m (118-in.) long plastic sheets, ranging from polycarbonates and polystyrene (PS) to vinyl and clear polyethylene terephthalate (PETG).

“The blade makes cutting our materials a very smooth process,” says Tom Tuckey, regional manager. “The machine is very efficient. Our volume has been steady while running larger jobs, filling more orders and shipping sheets directly to customers in Canada and the U.S.”
