crop1[1]Esko, which develops digital cutting hardware and workflow software for the sign industry, has announced a leadership transition. Udo Panenka (left), senior vice-president (SVP) for global sales and marketing, will succeed Carsten Knudsen (right) as president on January 1, 2015.

Over the near term, Knudsen will continue to support Esko and its parent company, Danaher, in an advisory role. Panenka joined Esko earlier this year from Kollmorgen, another Danaher business.

“Under Carsten’s leadership, Esko has built a loyal and growing customer group, created world-class technology, driven growth and established itself as a leader in its markets,” says Joakim Weidemanis, Danaher’s product identification platform vice-president (VP) and group executive. “We want to thank him for his leadership and tremendous impact on the success of Esko.”
