The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club recently piloted one of the largest advertising canvasses in the city’s downtown core, as part of a collaboration with Pattison Outdoor and transit provider OC Transpo.

For four weeks, the Lyon Station on O-Train Line 1 was adorned with visuals celebrating the local National Hockey League (NHL) team. The campaign included murals, pillars, and decals sporting the team’s colours, all with one united message: “Go Sens Go.”

Dubbed the “station domination,” the new offering grants advertisers the use of all displays within a transit station. Thirteen stations along the light rail transit (LRT) line are now equipped to support this option, to help companies reach Ottawa’s commuters.

“We’re very excited to see the first station domination on our system,” says Renee Amilcar, general manager for OC Transpo. “Our partners at Pattison Outdoor and the Senators have created an amazing experience at Lyon Station, one that we hope will bring some colour and excitement to the customer journey.”
