[1]Wide-format inkjet printer/cutter vendor Mutoh America has expanded its eco-solvent line with the introduction of the 2.6-m (104-in.) wide ValueJet 2638 printer.
The seven-colour inkjet printer can reportedly produce up to 108.5 m2 (1,168 sf) of output per hour, making it the fastest ValueJet to date. Standard features include the Intelligent Interweave (i2) function to prevent banding, the ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) app for remote updates and the ColorVerify process control system. Optional add-ons include the SpectoVue VM-10 spectrophotometer for creating profiles and 1-L (0.26-gal) ink bags for higher-production environments.
The ValueJet 2638 comes with a heavy-duty feed and take-up system, a media roll cradle and PhotoPrint raster image processor (RIP) software from Scanvec Amiable International (SAi). Mutoh also provides installation and a one-year on-site warranty.
