[1]The Federation of European Screen Printers Associations (FESPA) 2015 global awards program is now open for entries from print-service providers (PSPs) around the world. The awards will be handed out at a gala dinner at the FESPA show in Cologne, Germany, next May.
“Last year was the first time we opened the awards to the global print community and we got fantastic entries,” says Duncan MacOwan, FESPA’s head of events and new media. “For the 2015 awards, we have added more categories to inspire PSPs to push the boundaries of print.”
This year’s competition includes 17 categories and covers a variety of application themes, including vehicle graphics, interior décor, decals, in-store graphics and fine art reproductions. In addition, the program will feature a Mimaki-sponsored ‘young star’ award (for a student or employee aged 16 to 25), a FESPA hall of fame award, a people’s choice award and a best-in-show prize.
All entries, which may include digitally printed and/or screenprinted output, are due by April 2015 and will be judged for creativity, excellence in execution, technical expertise in print quality and appropriate choice of technique, design and media. Details are available at www.fespa.com/awards.
