American Renolit, which produces plastic films for wide-format graphics and other applications, is extending the capacity of its plant in La Porte, Indiana, with the installation of a new calender line that will support phthalate-free manufacturing.
Following a groundbreaking ceremony on June 26 (pictured), the equipment for ‘calender 35’ is being delivered. The company plans to recruit 30 new full-time employees, representing a nearly 20 per cent increase for the site’s workforce, by the time the new line is fully operational.
“With the conclusion of the engineering phase, we can now focus on getting everything into place to start the first trials and then move to full production in 2019,” explains Renaat Demeulemeester, president of American Renolit.
