Toronto-based Forward Signs has won a signage production and installation contract for the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, which will be held throughout Southern Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe region.
The TO2015 organizing committee awarded the contract—worth up to $750,000—through a competitive procurement request for proposals (RFP). Forward will manufacture and install temporary outdoor construction signs, banners and related pieces at both new and upgraded sports facilities across the region.
“Forward Signs was not only market-competitive,” says Bill Zakarow, senior director of procurement for TO2015, “they also demonstrated their ability to provide quality products and reliable installation services.”
“It’s wonderful our made-in-Toronto signs and banners will be front and centre for the 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games,” says Forward’s owner, Simon Ho, who established the business in 1986. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and our employees couldn’t be more excited.”
The Pan Am Games will take place on July 10 to 26, 2015, followed by the Parapan Am Games on August 7 to 14.
