Full Frames Signs, a family-owned print services provider located in the Toronto area, recently expanded its capabilities with the addition of a versatile ultraviolet (UV) inkjet press.
Fujifilm’s Acuity Select 28 features up to eight colour channels, including options to run white, varnish, and light inks. This is optimal for a variety of output, which is ideal for Full Frames Signs’ specific needs.
“We are part of Toronto’s film and television industry; our finished products regularly appear on-camera,” says shop owner Sean Vizsy. “The high quality output from this flatbed is very impressive compared to other presses in this category.”
Adding to the product’s versatility, the Acuity Select 28 is able to print 1200 dpi (or greater) graphics on rigid, flexible, and roll media. The shop regularly outputs on a variety of rigid substrates for indoor and outdoor use, including acrylic, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) board, styrene, plastic sheets, and corrugated.
“We are using the Acuity Select 28 for all of our rigid substrate output and white corrugated prints,” says Vizsy. “Often times our film and television clients provide their own substrates to print on, flexible or rigid, depending on their needs at any particular moment while on-set.”
