Ottawa-based graphic design software developer Corel has donated licences for its CorelDraw Graphics Suite X7 for use in upcoming Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) educational workshops.
The suite’s vector illustration, layout, photo editing and other tools will be used for vehicle wrap design, garment decoration and other sign and graphics applications produced through SGIA’s workshops in Fairfax, Va.
“This donation will help us elevate our workshop programming to bring more value to our students,” says Johnny Shell, vice-president (VP) of technical services for SGIA. “Many people in the specialty imaging community use Corel products.”
“We hope to help current and future graphics professionals advance their careers,” says Gerard Metrailler, Corel’s VP of products, graphics and productivity. “The right software can make all the difference in setting them on the path to success.”
