Arlon, which markets a range of pressure-sensitive films and materials for signs, vehicle wraps and other outdoor visual applications, has begun an 18-month expansion and relocation of its manufacturing operations.
“Our main coating lines run 24-7 and it is time to invest to support our global growth ambitions,” says Ron Hopkins, president. “Demand for new products, recent marketing initiatives and expansion of exports have resulted in sales growth of more than 50 per cent since the recession.”
The new facility in Placentia, Calif., will be nearly double the size of its predecessor. Arlon is investing in a number of operational upgrades, including a $7-million adhesive coating line, energy-efficient lighting, air and water systems, upgraded environmental controls for mixing and coating operations and new enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
