Graphics exec focuses on North American market

[1]Agfa Graphics, which offers wide-format printers, workflow software, inks and media for the sign and graphics industry, has named Gunther Mertens regional president for North America. He succeeds Peter Wilkens.

Mertens joined Agfa in 1999 and has held a variety of positions in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and finance. Since 2006, he has been vice-president (VP) and chief financial officer (CFO) for the company’s subsidiaries in Canada and the U.S.
“Gunther is a well-experienced senior executive with a proven track record in our company,” says Stefaan Vanhooren, global corporate president for Agfa Graphics. “He brings broad business acumen, operations know-how and a good understanding of the evolving needs of the North American printing industry.”
