Digital inkjet printer/cutter vendor Roland DGA reports three of its customers won four Golden Image Awards at the recent 2015 Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Expo in Atlanta, Ga.
Gamut Media won gold in the wallpaper category with a Star Trek vs. Star Wars wall graphic (pictured, top) printed on a VersaCamm VS-640i for rapper Snoop Dogg and another featuring a variety of funk music legends., along with gold in the building graphics category with a casino room gangster mural and photos of Las Vegas, Nev. (pictured, bottom), also for Snoop Dogg.
Photographic Works, meanwhile, won gold in the metal signs category with a series of dye-sublimated ocean- and water-themed photo prints from a Texart RT-640. And finally, Cascade Graphics won bronze in the three-dimensional (3-D) plastic category with decals printed directly on Monster headphone earpiece covers using a VersaUV LEC-330.
