The Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) has deployed digital signage at its new Toronto headquarters (HQ) to help inform and guide visitors throughout a 464.5-m2 (5,000-sf) learning centre.

The professional association and regulatory body for approximately 20,000 human resources (HR) practitioners in Ontario uses its HQ as a meeting place and educational facility, both for its members and for visitors from business, government and academia. HRPA worked with Toronto-based Dot2Dot Communications and Clearview Digital Marketing to combine wayfinding touch screens and branded displays, using custom-scripted Scala Content Manager software to allow users to input, manage and publish information on the screens.

Interactive wayfinding content, for example, includes event times and locations, walking paths and washroom directions, while complementary screens showcase future events, speaker bios and special promotions.

“Clearview did a great job translating our requirements into digital signage,” says Chris Larsen, HRPA’s vice-president (VP) of marketing and membership. “The staff is pleased with how easy it is to use.”

HRPA is also using the system for internal communications. Clearview created a dedicated channel for the HQ’s private staff lounge to deliver corporate messaging, a TV feed, scrolling news and weather forecasts.
