The Huffington Post (HuffPost) Canada has teamed up with Starcom MediaVest Group and Monster Media to launch its Windows 8 app by letting passersby try it out on large touch screens in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto.

The news aggregator worked with Starcom’s brand communicators to bring the app to Monster Media’s 1.8 x 2.7-m (6 x 9-ft) interactive digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising boards in Vancouver City Centre Station (pictured), Calgary’s South Centre Mall and Toronto’s Union Station, with one more board scheduled to launch in mid-November at Toronto’s Eaton Centre. The campaign will run until the end of November.

“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Starcom and drive an innovative digital activation in key, high-traffic locations across Canada,” says Laura Pearce, director of marketing for AOL Canada, which owns HuffPost Canada. “This is a great example of bringing a multifaceted marketing program to life for consumers.”
