Meanwhile, ND Graphics entered an agreement to become the exclusive distributor of Nazdar’s digital inks in Canada. Previously, ND sold Nazdar inks under its own InkBrite label.
- Montreal-based out-of-home (OOH) advertising firm Zoom Media announced a three-year extension of its exclusive partnership with Nautilus Plus, which operates fitness centres in and near Montreal, Quebec City and Gatineau, Que. Zoom’s screens display a mix of music videos, fitness segments, club communications and ads.
- Video board manufacturer Daktronics acquired Data Display in Ireland to expand its presence in the global transportation market. Data Display specializes in passenger information screens for railway stations.
- City Centre Terminal awarded a 10-year contract to Clear Channel Outdoor Canada to serve as the exclusive media provider for the passenger terminal at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (BBTCA). The contract came into effect on September 1.
- Wide-format printer manufacturer Agfa Graphics has maintained its gold-level status in software developer Adobe’s solution partner program.

- Flatbed inkjet printer manufacturer Inca Digital and its Canadian distributor, Fujifilm North America’s graphic systems division, are working together to provide a new service support program for their customers. Under the new arrangement, Inca will oversee first-line support for Canadian customers, while Fujifilm engineers will continue to make on-site service visits.

- Information technology (IT) product distributor Ingram Micro acquired Rollouts, an IT service provider that has deployed digital signage projects in Canada and the U.S.
- RP Graphics Group—a commercial printing firm in Mississauga, Ont., that has successfully added wide-format printing to its production department—agreed to purchase Rhino Printing’s Toronto location and form a strategic alliance with its Calgary and Vancouver facilities, laying the foundation for a nationwide printing and distribution business model.
- In-store digital signage operator iSign Media Solutions, based in Richmond Hill, Ont., announced it would not be proceeding with the acquisition of POS Canada, which provides hardware and software to the hospitality and retail sectors. The two companies, which have worked together on deployments, were unable to agree on the number of iSign common shares that would be issued to acquire POS without unduly diluting the stock relative to the value of the assets in question.
