Ink formulator begins executive transition

Inx International, which produces inks and coatings across Canada and the U.S. for wide-format and other printers, has promoted John Hrdlick to president. He succeeds Rick Clendenning, who will continue as CEO through the end of 2018.

After joining Acme Printing in 1977 as a shift worker, Hrdlick rose through the ranks at a variety of locations when the business was acquired by worldwide supplier Sakata Inx in the late 1980s. He became senior vice-president (SVP) and chief operating officer (COO) in 2012.

“I have had the pleasure to work with Inx for many years and to benefit from Rick’s leadership, mentorship and friendship,” says Hrdlick. “To be named president is a very high honour. I will work with our executive team and all of our employees to help the business continue to be successful going forward.”
