‘Ink person’ takes on double duties

Inx International, which manufactures inks and coatings in Canada and the U.S. for the inkjet printing, packaging and graphic arts industries, has promoted Rick Westrom to senior vice-president (SVP) and director of research and development (R&D).

Westrom has worked at Inx for 25 years in many capacities, most recently has SVP of strategic sourcing. In his new dual positions, he takes over an R&D facility in Chicago, Ill.

“Rick has done a fantastic job throughout his career,” says Rick Clendenning, president and CEO of Inx. “By having him handle the responsibilities of these two roles, it creates a great deal of synergy in two important areas of our company.”

In 2011, Westrom was honoured by the Chicago Printing Ink Production Club as ‘ink person of the year.’
