Digital wide-format inkjet printer vendor Epson America’s president and CEO, John Lang, has announced he will retire on June 30, to be succeeded on July 1 by current senior vice-president (SVP) Keith Kratzberg.

Lang joined Seiko Epson’s North American headquarters (HQ) in 1987. He served as president and CEO for the past 14 years, during which he was instrumental in expanding the company’s focus on textile printing, among other businesses.

Kratzberg, meanwhile, joined Epson in 1996 and has held a number of positions in product development, marketing, sales, strategy and general management. He became SVP of sales and marketing in 2011.

“Keith’s market knowledge and experience will ensure a seamless transition,” says Lang. “His consistent track record of driving revenue growth makes him the ideal person to lead Epson America’s next phase.”
