Xaar, which develops and manufactures piezoelectric drop-on-demand inkjet printheads for wide-format presses, has hired Edmund Creutzmann to serve as chief technical officer (CTO), with a primary focus research and development (R&D).

Creutzmann has more than 30 years’ experience in the digital printing industry, most recently as vice-president (VP) of printer technology for Océ. His career has spanned inkjet, electrophotographic and light-emitting diode (LED) printing technologies. At Xaar, he will report to CEO Ian Dinwoodie.

“Edmund’s appointment is a key enhancement of our leadership team,” says Dinwoodie. “He has the right depth and breadth of experience across multiple digital technologies to direct our significantly enlarged R&D operations.”
