Industrial inkjet printhead manufacturer Xaar has appointed Doug Edwards CEO. He succeeds Ian Dinwoodie, who held the position since 2003 and announced in 2014 he would retire this year.
Edwards joins Xaar from Kodak, where he was president of the digital printing and enterprise divisions. His career in the photography and paper industry has also included work for Ilford, Xeneca and Sun Chemical.
“It is a privilege to be asked to lead Xaar through the next phase of its development,” says Edwards. “Future opportunities in the world of digital printing are substantial.”
“Doug brings the right combination of industry expertise and management skills to head the company,” says Dinwoodie. “I look forward to handing over the reins to him in the coming months.”
