Inkjet service engineers join global competition

[1]Digital printer/cutter vendor Roland DGA has announced the three finalists who will represent the Americas in its parent company’s third annual service engineer (SE) awards competition this April in Hamamatsu, Japan.

Joe House will represent Roland’s inkjet product line, while Jason Bergeron will represent dental products and Kevin Rosen will represent three-dimensional (3-D) printers and millers. They will compete with 25 other product repair and maintenance specialists from around the world in series of written and hands-on tests.

“We’ve found this friendly competition encourages these talented professionals to raise their skills to an even higher level and share their best practices with their fellow SEs,” says Andrew Oransky, president of Roland DGA.

The competition will take place on Apr. 23 and 24, culminating with an awards ceremony on Apr. 25.
