Interim president appointed for specialized polymer materials

Polymer material and service supplier PolyOne has appointed Michael A. Garratt president of specialty engineered materials (SEMs) on an interim basis. He succeeds Craig M. Nikrant, who is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

Garratt has more than 27 years’ experience in the specialty polymer sector and joined PolyOne in 2013 as president of performance products and solutions. He was appointed chief commercial officer (CCO) in 2016.

“Michael has a proven track record of leading global teams and delivering innovation and growth,” says Robert M. Patterson, PolyOne’s chair, president and CEO. “I am confident he can accelerate our strategic investments until a full-time successor is named.”
