Rich Gottwald, executive vice-president (EVP) of the International Sign Association (ISA), spoke in September 2012 at the Out of Home Video Advertising Bureau (OVAB) Europe and Invidis Consulting conference in Munich, Germany. His presentation was titled ‘Partnerships Between Static and Digital Signage: A Natural and Necessary Fit.’
“We believe digital signage is and will continue to be an important avenue of growth for many traditional sign companies,” he said. “While the technology may be new to some ISA members, many components of digital signage are within their everyday operations, including content, messaging, project management and relationships with users.”
The presentation was ISA’s latest effort to play a leading role in the digital signage sector. Its 2013 International Sign Expo will feature a ‘dynamic digital park’ for vendors and a full day of themed educational programming.
