Practice @ Main StPattison Outdoor Advertising recently displayed 60 murals painted by children and youth at 31 Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway stations as the city hosted the 2016 National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Weekend.

Each 1.2 x 1.8-m (4 x 6-ft) mural was painted by hand on a repurposed TTC out-of-home (OOH) ad panel. The program was facilitated by charitable organization Vibe Arts, in partnership with the NBA’s ‘This Is Why We Play’ campaign, to showcase the importance of basketball to young people across Toronto. Participants were also guided by 18 professional artists.

The site-specific murals’ themes included practice (pictured, representing Mason Road Public School at Main Street Station), energy, growth, reliability, determination and dedication. They were displayed until February 21.
