Working with two Montreal-based digital signage firms, Laurentian Bank of Canada recently implemented custom-configured video walls shaped like its logo at new ‘boutique’ financial services centres.
Vif Télé designed and installed the dynamic displays, while iGotcha Media provided the back-end technology to control them. The logo-shaped configurations (example pictured right), installed at branches in Lasalle and Sainte-Foy, feature six screens fanning out within a 3 x 3-m (10 x 10-ft) wall space. They can be seen both inside and from outside the bank. In some cases, they display individual messages, while at other times they are used as a single, uniform digital sign. They are further complemented by screens built into the branches’ service counters.
Meanwhile, screen columns (pictured top) have been installed at a new ‘career station’ service branch within Montreal’s Berri subway station. These columns, along with corresponding kiosks, are designed to invite passersby to ask about Laurentian Bank job opportunities.
“The use of dynamic screens is a fundamental part of our strategy to no longer use paper or board materials for information purposes in our new branches,” says Sylvain Mantha, the bank’s assistant vice-president (VP) of marketing.
