Watchfire Signs, which engineers and manufactures light-emitting diode (LED) digital billboards, has announced the winners of its second annual LED Sign Awards, including two projects within Canada.
The awards recognize Watchfire’s dealer partners who best showcase the capabilities of digital out-of-home (DOOH) advertising. One of the gold-level winners was a sign produced by PCM Electronic Signs in Oshawa, Ont., and Nu-media Display Systems in Mississauga, Ont., for real estate developer Daniels. Meanwhile, Signature Sign and Image of Niagara Falls, Ont., won at the silver level with its sign for Brock University in St. Catharines, Ont. (pictured).
The grand prize of $1,000 U.S. went to Best Signs in Palm Springs, Calif., for a new entrance sign for Spa Resort Casino.
“As the hardware and software have evolved, sign dealers are only limited by their imaginations when it comes to designs that will have the greatest impact,” says David Warns, vice-president (VP) of on-premise sign sales for Watchfire. “We congratulate all of this year’s winners.”
