Middleton Group, which prints point-of-purchase (POP) displays in Markham, Ont., has installed a new Inca Onset R40-LT ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) wide-format flatbed inkjet press from Fujfilm North America’s graphic systems division.
Middleton Group was founded in 1952 and has designed retail displays for many well-known brands, including President’s Choice, General Motors of Canada and Mega Bloks. The company purchased its first Inca press in 2005.
“It met our needs and we ran it all the time,” says Craig Riethmacher, chief operating officer (COO). “Then we bought Inca’s Columbia Turbo and ran two shifts constantly for seven years. The R40-LT is our third Inca press and the decision was simple.”
The first job produced on Middleton Group’s R40-LT, using Fujifilm’s Uvijet inks, was a series of rustic-looking wooden plaques for home improvement stores.
“The client was very pleased with the output and we’ll be receiving additional jobs from them in the future,” says Riethmacher.
