Montreal-based Arsenal Media developed the digital signage strategy for the Maison du tourisme de la Montérégie (MTM), which opened on May 9 in Brossard, Que., near the Montreal Canadiens’ practice facility.
Designed by architects at LemayMichaud, MTM provides information about local dining, recreational and sightseeing highlights. Its multimedia visitor lounge features 23 screens, seven of which are interactive. More screens are installed throughout the building’s lobby, hallways, culinary product zone, reservations counter and restrooms.
“We wanted to update the concept of a tourist facility by capitalizing on digital signage,” says Eric Fournier, executive director of Tourisme Montérégie. “The Arsenal team has supported our efforts in aligning with our marketing strategy. The result has received compelling feedback from our member organizations and the general public.”
The multimedia and digital signage elements were developed when the facility’s initial concept was still in the planning stages.
“Because Tourisme Montérégie made teamwork among partners a priority, we were able to focus on the optimal integration of the layout,” says Denys Lavigne, president of Arsenal.
