Mural commemorates Raptors’ playoff run

Sports artist David Arrigo recently painted a large-scale Toronto Raptors mural at Sun Life Financial’s new headquarters (HQ) to commemorate the team’s run in this year’s National Basketball Association (NBA) playoffs.

Sun Life commissioned Arrigo to create the piece in the lobby of 1 York Street in downtown Toronto, where the firm moved last year. Employees were invited to write personal messages of support on the finished work before it was presented to the team.

The initiative was an extension of Sun Life’s partnership with the Raptors and NBA Canada, which in the past has also included the first-ever jersey sponsorship for the team and the ‘Dunk for Diabetes’ basketball-themed awareness campaign.
