Mural festival returns to Montreal

mural1The fourth edition of the Mural international public art festival, which will be held from June 9 to 19 on and around Montreal’s St-Laurent Boulevard, will feature 20 new murals from the Quartier des Spectacles to Mile End.

Recognized as North America’s largest gathering for urban art, the Mural festival offers free access to pedestrians. This year’s edition will bring together artists from Canada, the U.S., Europe, Australia and Israel, who will contribute to a permanent public legacy of more than 60 works. There will also be daily ticketed, guided tours of the murals as they are created.

“On the eve of its fourth edition, the festival has matured into a format that will enable the public to better appreciate our endeavour, while preserving its boldness and originality,’” says André Bathalon, co-founder.
