Murals unveiled on Pottery Road underpass pillars

pottery_edit Artist Drew Mosley recently unveiled new wildlife-themed murals on pillars at Toronto’s Pottery Road underpass, just north of the Todmorden Mills Museum, to help celebrate the beauty of the Don River Valley greenspace and the nearby Broadview Avenue community.

Mosley won a competition to paint the murals under the StreetArToronto Underpass (START UP) program, a public-private partnership (P3) with the municipal government’s transportation services department.

“These murals not only add colour and vibrancy, but are also a welcome reminder of the natural environment surrounding this neighbourhood, which recently completed an planning study to guide future development,” says Mary Fragedakis, the local city councillor.
