Out-of-home (OOH) media company NEO has forged a partnership with retail property developer RioCan REIT, to secure advertising representation at Toronto’s Yonge Sheppard Centre (YSC).
Starting last week, NEO began operating a total of 46 advertising faces inside the high-traffic shopping centre.
Located at one of the busiest intersections in the city, YSC has access to the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC’s) Sheppard Station, which serves as a daily crossing point for thousands of neighbourhood residents and workers. It also underwent a $300 million expansion in 2019—which included an additional 9290 m2 (100,000 sf) of commercial space, as well as the restoration of two adjacent office towers, and the construction of a 36-storey rental residential tower.
Both companies are looking forward to the partnership, as well as the opportunities it will bring to the shopping centre and its surrounding community.
“Since the beginning of 2022, we noticed shopping centre traffic continues to increase, and by the end of this year, we estimate a visitor count close to 10 million,” says Jordan Fatsis, executive vice-president of sales for NEO. “We are convinced Yonge Sheppard Centre will become an important flagship property for NEO Shopping in Toronto, and a great addition to our 100-plus shopping centre network in Canada.”
