Printer vendor Mutoh America and graphic template provider The Bad Wrap are co-sponsoring Skin and Win, a new contest that encourages graphic designers in the sign industry to creatively wrap wide-format printers.

The Bad Wrap has created graphic templates for Mutoh’s ValueJet printers, which designers can download from either company’s website and use as the basis for a customized ‘skin,’ to be printed and applied to a ValueJet (which does not have to be owned by the designer).

Entries will be judged for creativity, originality, detail, fit, finish and artistic interpretation. The first-place winning design will be featured on a Mutoh printer at a major trade show in 2013 and/or 2014 and incorporated into an ad. The winner will receive a Wacom Cintiq graphics tablet computer and unlimited membership to The Bad Wrap. Two runners-up will win Mutoh ink kits and one-year premium membership to The Bad Wrap.

The deadline for entries is March 1, 2013. More details are available at www.mutoh.com[2].
