New executive joins digital signage software developer

Digital signage software developer Scala recently named Michael Schaffer chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO). He succeeds Jen Douglas, who will continue to serve the company in an advisory role.

Schaffer has experience in finance, human resources (HR) and technology, most recently as vice-president (VP) of Trac International’s marine chassis business. He was founder and CFO of Annexus Mobile Solutions, which provided portable storage and short-haul transportation. And he spent 17 years at General Electric (GE) in financial management and corporate auditing.

In his new role, Schaffer reports to Scala’s CEO, Tom Nix, and is responsible for worldwide HR, finance, technology and facility functions.
