- Aurora Specialty Textiles Group, which manufactures fabrics for graphics, has completed the consolidation of its two plants on schedule, transitioning out of Travelers Ret, S.C., and centralizing all textile processing operations in Aurora, Ill.
- Ink and coating formulator Inx International held the grand opening of its new manufacturing facility in Heywood, England, on April 16. At 3,716 m2 (40,000 sf), the site is reportedly the largest dedicated two-piece metal-decorating ink producing structure outside the U.S. It will support expanded sales in Europe and the Middle East.
- Video board supplier Daktronics has increased capacity for manufacturing video modules at its facility in Redwood Falls, Minn., to three times its previous output, such that the factory can reportedly now produce more than 107 m2 (1,150 sf) of displays per day.
- InkTec, the Korean manufacturer behind Jetrix wide-format ultraviolet-curing (UV-curing) flatbed presses, opened a new demonstration centre and training facility in Oxfordshire, England. The grand opening in February was attended by U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron.
