- To keep up with growing customer demand, digital billboard manufacturer Watchfire Signs expanded its headquarters (HQ) in Danville, Ill. (pictured), with an 11,798 m2 (127,000-sf) addition. Specifically, the integrated facility’s manufacturing space has grown by 10,219 m2 (110,000 sf) and office space by 1,579 m2 (17,000 sf).
- Print-service provider (PSP) Reprodux has opened a new branch in Hamilton and reorganized its Toronto-area offices, as renovations are underway for a larger space in Richmond Hill, Ont., where the company plans to wrap vehicles.
- Unisource Canada, which supplies printing, imaging and packaging supplies and equipment, has opened a new full-service warehouse facility in Mississauga, Ont., which takes over customer deliveries from an existing facility in Richmond Hill, Ont. The new building comprises 17,187 m2 (185,000 sf) of warehouse space and 3,066 m2 (33,000 sf) of office space.
- Graphic material and adhesive supplier Orafol Americas opened a new national sales office for Canada in August. The 2,230-m2 (24,000-sf) building is in Oakville, Ont.
- Arlon, which markets pressure-sensitive films and materials for signs, vehicle wraps and other outdoor visual applications, has begun an 18-month expansion and relocation of its manufacturing operations in Placentia, Calif. The new facility will reportedly be nearly double the size of its predecessor.
- HP opened a new 2,973-m2 (32,000-sf) ink manufacturing plant in Ashkelon, Israel. It will produce ultraviolet-curable (UV-curable) inks for the new Scitex FB10000 industrial press.
- Paper-based graphic display board manufacturer Hexacomb has opened a new facility in Querétaro, Mexico.
- Signmaking software developer SA International (SAi) has opened a dedicated training, demonstration and technology testing centre in Brussels, Belgium.
