- Adhesive and topcoat supplier 3 Sigma has added a wide-format specialty coating line (pictured) to its in-house operations. The new production line accommodates 2-m (80-in.) wide materials and can apply multiple coatings and/or adhesives on the front and back. A laminating station allows pressure-sensitive materials to be produced with liners or multi-layered designs.
- Toronto-based environmental graphic design (EGD) firm Entro has moved from Parliament Street to Harbour Square.
- Fujifilm opened a new 167-m2 (1,800-sf) ink manufacturing facility for the wide-format digital printing sector in Broadstairs, England.
- Audiovisual (AV) system integrator Advanced has opened a new downtown Toronto office to demonstrate Smart Technologies’ interactive displays, NEC liquid crystal displays (LCDs) and Polycom video conferencing systems.
- Digital signage system provider Stratacache has opened a new sales and technical service office in Tokyo, Japan, as part of its ongoing global expansion.
- AVI-SPL, which provides digital signage and other video communications applications, has opened new offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. The company already had a presence in Vancouver and Calgary.
