  • Outdoor light-emitting diode (LED0 sign and digital billboard designer Watchfire Signs is expanding its manufacturing and office facilities in Danville, Ill. A groundbreaking ceremony in the summer featured the executive team (pictured left to right): Paul Kero, vice-president (VP) of operations; Frank Dwyer, chief financial officer (CFO); Steve Harriott, president and CEO; and Jeff Koebrich, VP of engineering. Scheduled for completion in early 2013, the expansion will add more than 10,219 m2 (110,000 sf) of manufacturing space and 1,579 m2 (17,000 sf) of office space, allowing the company to consolidate three current locations into one and keep up with growing demand.
  • Textile supplier Top Value Fabrics is expanding its warehousing operations to match the growth of its print media division, which provides banners and other materials for screenprinting and digital printing. New warehouses have already been added in Houston, Texas, and Orlando, Fla.
  • Digital billboard manufacturer Daktronics is expanding globally, with international subsidiary offices opening in Brazil, Spain and Singapore before the end of the year to serve the South America, Southern Europe and Southeast Asia markets, respectively. Daktronics’ first international office opened in Canada in 2000, followed by locations in Germany, China, the U.K., the U.A.E., France, Australia and Japan.
