[1] Mirada Media, based in Saint-Laurent, Que., is providing digital menu boards and associated software for the newest Java U café-bistro in Montreal, which opened in May and is reportedly the first ‘milk bar’ anywhere in Canada.
Content for a five-screen menu array at the ‘Natrel Milk Bar By Java U’ has been developed by ad agency LG2, which also designed the Montrealait-themed space with light fixtures shaped like giant milk droplets hanging from the ceiling and seating booths that resemble milk cartons. In addition to providing the screens and software, Mirada is handling digital content animation.
[2]The project builds on Mirada’s work earlier this year on other Java U coffee shops in the Montreal area, where the new milk bar concept will eventually be integrated. There are also plans to expand to Vancouver and Toronto.
