A new mural has been completed in St. Thomas, a city in southwestern Ontario. It is located on the back wall of Step Above Dance studio near the Horton Farmers’ Market at 795 Talbot St. The mural, titled “Will You Dance with Me?”, was created by artist, Bacon. It features a dancer with a dress that unfurls into flowers, blending the fabric with natural forms.

Bacon, recognized as a leading street artist in the country, has graffiti and murals in cities across Canada and internationally. For this piece, he considered the setting, including how dance students arrive at Step Above and the gathering of customers at the nearby Horton Farmers’ Market. This influenced the design of the mural.

The artwork was completed over a few days in June 2024. The new addition contributes to the must-see destinations in St. Thomas, adding artistic value to the city. The location of the mural is near one of the busiest and most-loved spots in the city. The piece aims to invite viewers to appreciate the beauty and to consider the theme of overcoming self-doubt.
